Terese 'TC' Karmel, from Storrs, Connecticut, passed away on December 26, 2017, after a rich and varied career as a writer, journalist and educator. Her stories on Thoroughbred racing appeared in The Blood-Horse and many newspapers and magazines throughout the state. She won numerous awards for profiles of sports figures. The picture was taken in the Saratoga race track club house. Her favorite place on the planet.
