After NSW’s Classic Yearling Sale last month, it’s Victoria’s time to shine.

After sales at various Magic Millions complexes over the last few weeks, Inglis regains the attention of Australian traders as it prepares to stage its three-day Premier Yearling Sale at Oaklands.

The Melbourne highlight comes less than a month after Sydney’s Classic Yearling Sale closed at Riverside with the announcement of increases in all metrics.

The last three Everest winners have come from this sale and, with over 800 catalogued lots, there’s opportunity enough to grab hold of another winner of the A$20m prize.

Yulong, Rosemont, Coolmore and Segenhoe are all represented, as are established stallions such as Extreme Choice, Dundeel, Savabeel, Home Affiars and the late Snitzel. A host of first-season sires, including Anamoe, Artorius and State Of Rest are also in the catalogue.

Yulong, one of the largest consignors by draft size, bring offerings that include Lot 187, an I Am Invincible colt out of the Galaxy winner Mariamia, Lot 33, who has a truly international pedigree, being by Frankel and out of a US Listed winner, and Lot 504, who has a similarly global pedigree, being by Lord Kanaloa and the first foal out of a daughter of the South American multiple Group 1 winner Belle Watling.

Toronado, meanwhile, is one of the stallions with the most representation, responsible for the likes of Lot 77, a colt out of the Listed heroine Gee Gee Double Dee, Lot 228, a colt out of Nette Rousse, a half-sister to the multiple Group 1 winner Pakistan Star, and Lot 203, out of a half-sister to a Group 1 winner.

Alabama Express is another sire with plentiful representation, his offerings including Lot 215, a filly from the Yulong draft out of a half-sister to the Frankel Stakes winner Bauble Queen, and Lot 573, a colt out of a half-sister to the Champagne Stakes winner Go Indy Go.

Other lots of interest include:

Lot 142, a Bivouac half-brother to the multiple Group 1-winning Streets Of Avalon.

Lot 229, a Snitzel colt out of the dual Group 1 winner Nettoyer.

Lot 369, a full-brother to the Flight Stakes winner Funstar and a half-brother to the Queensland Oaks winner Youngstar

Trade begins at 10am on Sunday and all lots offered are eligible for the Inglis Race Series.
