Magic Millions proceedings have moved across the country to WA.

It’ll be down in Tassie before long, but for now the Magic Millions circus rolls into Perth, across the country from last month’s Gold Coast fireworks.
Though almost 80 stallions are represented, local boy Playing God, who stands for Darling View Thoroughbreds on the southern side of the city, is responsible for about 50 of them.
They include Lot 126, a colt out of the unraced Apache Point, whose full-sister Reveille produced the multiple Listed winner and Group 2 Western Australian Derby second Buckets Ridge, and Lot 222, whose unraced dam is a half-sister to the Listed winner and Group 2-placed Vezalay.
Lot 126 is consigned by Greenfields Lodge, which has one of the sale’s largest drafts, its other offerings including Lot 39, a Toronado half-sister to the Group 2 winner Comrade Rosa, out of the Listed winner and Blue Diamond Stakes runner-up No Looking Back.
Greenfields also consign Lot 65, a colt by Awesome Rock who is the first produce of Restful, a winner out of the Listed heroine and multiple Group 3-placed Tranquility.
Many a potential purchaser will no doubt have been present at Pinjarra Park’s Magic Millions WA Raceday on Valentine’s Day, where Maria Lucia triumphed in the Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic and Twisted Steel won the Magic Millions WA 3YO Classic, both events being run at Listed level.
As they carry out inspections at the Swan Valley sales complex, those potential purchasers might find themselves drawn to lots by first-season stallions, including Artorius and State Of Rest.
Artorius is responsible for the Lot 188, an Einoncliff Park-consigned filly out of Hussh Baby, the half-sister to a Listed hero and already the dam of a winner. State Of Rest’s lots, meanwhile, include a filly out of a three-time winner, catalogued as Lot 34.
Traders may also be intrigued to examine lots by local sires with plentiful representation.
Aysar’s offerings include Lot 245, produced by a daughter of the already discussed Tranquility, Lightsaber, whose offerings include Lot 249 from Yarradale, a colt out of a winning full-sister to the ATC Hill Stakes victor and Metropolitan Handicap-placed Lamasery and Marine One, whose offerings include Lot 26, a colt out of the winning Magical Charge.
Other lots of interest include:
Lot 4, consigned by Balmoral Farm, a Written By half-sister to the multiple winner and Listed-placed Destination.
Lot 99, a Splintex colt out of the winning Templates whose third dam won the Silver Slipper.
Lot 216, also by Splintex, his dam is the full-sister to a Group 3 winner and a close relation to the Rubiton Stakes winner Rey Magnerio.
Trade begins at 11am on Thursday for Book 1 (lots 1-182) and at 10am on Friday for Book 2 (lots 183-358).
