Wrap up warm if you’re heading to Fasig-Tipton for its Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale.

Lexington’s temperature looks like it’ll stay below 50F during Fasig-Tipton’s first sale of the year.

An assorted collection of stock, similar to those who’ve passed through (or are about to pass through) sales rings over the Atlantic, are set to strut their stuff.

That’s to say, everything from racing stock to yearlings, broodmare prospects and mares already in foal.

The single-day offering has been bolstered by the addition of manifold supplements, not least a Canadian Grade 3 winner in the form of five-year-old Stormcast (Hip 395), the South Korean-bred Athena’s War (Hip 386), a full-sister to Maximum Security in foal to Oscar Performance, and, in Hip 397 a winning half-sister to the Pegasus hero Skippylongstocking.

Hip 366 is a half-sister to Disco Time (#85 in the Global Rankings horse classifications), the Pegasus fancy who came up short.

Perhaps most notably, however, the supplement ranks include 2024’s Del Mar Oaks heroine Iscreamuscream (Hip 385), a now five-year-old offered with a pre-approved nomination to Not This Time.

Iscreamuscream helps make up a typically enormous Taylor Made draft, the consignment also featuring Hip 364, the black type-performing Candy Light, and Hip 361, a four-year-old filly out of the Canadian Grade 3 winner Unspurned. Both will be offered as broodmare prospects.

Taylor Made-consigned Hip 20, a half-brother to three winners, is among hordes of catalogued yearlings, by the likes of American Pharoah, Epicenter (in the case of Hip 20), Bolt D’Oro, Into Mischief and Twirling Candy.

Hip 14, a yearling filly by Arcangelo, is also worthy of note, hailing from the family of such Graded winners as Caller One, who got the job done in both the States and the Middle East.

Curlin, Vekoma and Cyberknife are included in the list of covering sires, Curlin notably the covering sire of Hip 126, the winner and multiple Graded-placed Ava’s Grace, on sale as a broodmare.

Among the broodmares up for purchase, Taylor Made send Hip 22, Sarah’s Dream, a Hard Spun daughter whose second dam is the Grade 2 winner Carolyn's Cat.

Other lots of interest include:

Hip 3, broodmare prospect Queenoftheuniverse, a half-sister to the Pacific Classic victor Tripoli.

Hip 298, a Tiz The Law yearling colt whose dam is a half-sister to the Graded winner Teeth Of The Dog.

Lot 358, an eight-year-old mare by sire of the moment Not This Time (#5 in the Global Rankings dirt sires section and #8 in its overall sires classification).

Trade begins at 10am on Monday.
