Registrations are now open for the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) Irish Stallion Trail, which will take place on Friday, January 14, and Saturday, January 15.

Over 25 stallion farms are set to participate in the Trail, which is now in its eighth year. It offers breeders, racing professionals and racing fans the opportunity to view some of the world’s leading flat and National Hunt stallions at Ireland’s outstanding Thoroughbred breeding facilities.

The ITM Irish Stallion Trail is a free event. Visitors are simply asked to register which studs they intend to go to via the ITM website. They are then free to visit their chosen studs at the time of their choosing within the studs’ advertised opening hours.

Due to demand it is mandatory to register for a specific date and time slot if you intend to visit Coolmore Stud.

The dates and format of the Trail may still be subject to change because of the ongoing Covid pandemic. Visitors are asked to comply with a Covid-19 code of conduct developed by Horse Racing Ireland Health and Safety and available on the ITM website. They will be asked to wear masks, sanitise hands, and observe social distancing when visiting farms. Visitors should bring masks and hand sanitiser with them. There will be no indoor element to the Trail, so visitors should dress for the weather.

For further information and to register, visit www.itm.ie/stalliontrail.

Further studs wishing to participate in the ITM Irish Stallion Trail 2022 can contact Alex Cairns at acairns@itm.ie or on +353(0)87 791 5690.
